I can't make sense of a sentence
whenever you're around me
My heart gets in way of my brain's messages to my tongue
'cause my heart is in a rush around you.
All they'd like to say is "I love you"
It's the only thing they agree on, but they interrupt each other.
Can't you see I'm nervous around you,
because I want to be perfect to you?
I want you to think well of me,
to think me worthy of your time.
Yet around you I act silly and even brainless with my on-rush of words.
I'm only a fool because I'm so in love with you
and nervous around you, because it's true.
I lose all sense around you.
Between the mangled spellings and ramblings, if you listen carefully,
I hope you hear what I really mean to say-
"I love you"
